San Clemente Military Family Outreach We are an outreach providing support and assistance to military members and their dependents, with special attention being given to the young families stationed at the northwest area of Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base. Most of these Marine families are living far from home and relatives, and even somewhat isolated from the rest of this particular military establishment. Our outreach allows communities in southern Orange County to become their military families’ local family; to offer friendship, sponsor morale events, and provide emergency assistance with financial needs such as groceries, infant diapers, formula, gas and car repairs, school supplies and other unexpected needs. Military members needing assistance may simply call our Assistance Line at 949-388-2812.Mission statement: Our mission is to generate and coordinate community resources to provide service and assistance to any U.S. military service members, active duty, reserve status or recently discharged, and their dependents. San Clemente Military Family Outreach (SCMFO) is an all volunteer non-profit organization run by all volunteer Board and staff. Many of our volunteers have previously served on active duty. The group operates out of space granted by St. Andrews By-the-Sea United Methodist Church in San Clemente, which also provides financial oversight. The Outreach functions as a dedicated fund with donations directed only for SCMFO use. All donations received are channeled 100% to SCMFO and are tax deductible as allowed by federal law. SCMFO partners with other non-profit organizations, churches of all faiths, service club and veterans groups to accomplish its goals. We are honored to have been strongly supported by the USMC Command group at Camp Pendleton and to have been endorsed by retired Gen. John K. Davis, former Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps.
